   These photos were taken 02-28-13 and early March of 2013.  The pelicans had been here through the winter on-and-off, which was a bonus.  He was accompanied this time by a couple of females.  When I originally saw the pelicans during the cold snap in December of 2012, I was concerned and felt that the lone one that had been here at the time would get hypothermia.  Evidently, that was not the case.  These were very early images for me with the Nikon D7000 with the Nikkor 18-300 MM 3.3-5.6 lens, my first.
