Wild Sunflower
Great Blue Heron
Female House Finch with Dinner
Female Mallard
Mallard Clan
96 degrees/partly cloudy/15 mph wind/evening
Luckily, it had cooled down from 106 degrees before I went out. It was quiet at the lake due to the extreme heat of the day. There were a couple of Northern Cardinals, but I was unable to get them to come out of the deep shade where they were. There were no sign of Scissor-tailed Flycatchers or the Great-tailed Grackles. There was a scant Red-winged Blackbird, but even during the feeding hours, birds were staying cool and out of sight.
