The rain has left us for a short time and the sun is out once again. I was surprised to spy three Redheads this morning, and it is soon time for the Ruby-throated Hummingbirds to be back in the area.

Over the past weekend, some much needed rain fell. The level of the lake rose slightly, but we can still use more water. Our denizens were out enjoying the cooler weather and are still in good health.

These are from the past two days, beginning before 0700 and lasts for a couple of hours before the sun hits its peak. Temperatures are in the 60s and 70s and as you can see, life is well at Boomer Lake.

Temperatures are returning to more seasonable ranges with highs in the 90's. Mornings has been in the 50's and low 60's. I am generally on the lake at 0645 now, but it will be earlier soon enough as summer approaches.

The movers and the shakers were on the lake this morning. The trees are filled with birds. My attempt at capturing the Blue-gray Flycatcher was unsuccessful, as was the American Goldfinch. However, tomorrow will be another day.
