Male House Finch in Breeding Plumage

Our friendly neighborhood birds are in a frenzy regarding their nests and their young.  This is very typical behavior at this time of year.  By the way, I was led to the Western Kingbird fledgling by a parent when I came out the door for an errand.  Last year I obtained a photo of a recently fledged Mourning Dove on the property, too.

These are the stars of the week, or at least, thus far.  Great Egret was a wonderful surprise this morning, as was Brown Thrasher thinking that I did not see him/her.  Started off as a very cloudy day, which helped Great Egret's shots.  Enjoy, and keep the wild in wildlife.

A day filled with interesting sights.  A number of people stopped me this morning to discuss birds and see where the beavers are living.  Several people seem to be interested in birding tours and to learn more about what they see.
