The first day on South Padre Island greeted us with a fabulous fallout, and many good photo opportunities were at hand.  This was a most exciting time for me, and there was a storm with high winds the day before, approximately 50 mph winds.  Numerous birds settled in for a much needed rest and a great deal of food to put weight back on their bodies.  They were obviously exhausted and didn't care who was around at this stage.  Each day is a very long day for me, putting in a long day photographing, then returning to process the photos.  As you can see, I am a couple of days behind with photos, getting around 450 of them on Wednesday.  I'm doing my best to get this material out to you, sio wish me luck for that, as well as productive days.
